What the Reviewers are Saying...

RT Top Pick, 4 1/2 Stars!
Romantic Times Magazine, October 2012
Reviewed by Cheryl Hanson
"This wonderful story transports you to a town before, during and after a deadly tornado. The writing is so riveting and real that you’ll feel the storm and the pain of the aftermath. The characters are all believable, and the lessons they learn are realistic. Part of the Quilts to Love series, it’s a must-read for quilters and a treat for everyone else."
Question: How exactly do you choose which books will be Top Picks? -Kimi
Morgan: Top Picks are chosen by RT Reviewers as the best books of the month. They are the ones that we believe are truly special — perhaps even destined to be "classics". However, for the answer about how exactly they are picked, I turn to RT Senior Reviewer Kathe Robin who has reviewed close to 8,500 books in her 30 year tenure at RT!
Choosing a Top Pick is personal and subjective. Of course a Top Pick is a well written book with an engrossing story that includes wonderfully three dimensional characters that seem to come out of the pages to touch the reader. But it’s the book you can’t forget, the one you have to tell others about (even strangers you meet in the book store). It’s a book that has the ability to touch you on so many levels and most off all, it’s the book you wish would never end. It’s the one that you give a deep sigh over when you turn the last page. It might even be a book that changes the way you look at life. Simply said it’s very special.
Publishers Weekly, October 2012
"Zane (Brubaker Brides series) kicks off a humungous multiauthor series, Quilts of Love. Her writing is polished and when her focus is closeup on people, the pace zips along."
Christian Book Distributors, 2012 Fall Catalog
"Zane's expertly crafted novel is like a quit in itself—one you can wrap yourself in when life's harsh winds blow! Piecing together a whimsical, multigenerational patchwork of likeable 21st-century characters (some churched, some not), she allows their lives to be scrambled by, and then reassembled after, a jaw-droppingly described natural disaster. Scraps of inspirational comfort—including quotations from Charles Spurgeon and Corrie Ten Boom—blend seamlessly into the story. A treasure!
